Guided Snowshoe Walk
on the Glade Trail with a US Forest
Ranger. Snowshoe the old route of the Ski-way Tram on the Glade
Trail in Government Camp. Trip is approximately 3.5 miles round
trip and travels though a pristine forested setting and eventually
the tree line. Topics discussed include Government Camp History,
winter ecology, geology, Mount Hood History, the Barlow Road,
and More! Meet outside the Mount Hood Cultural Center and Museum.

Guided Snowshoe Walk at
Trillium Lake with a US Forest Ranger.
Join a U.S. Forest Service Ranger for a guided snowshoe walk
to Trillium Lake. Trip is approximately 3 miles and offers wonderful
views of Mount Hood. Topics include winter ecology, local history,
geology, Mount Hood History, Barlow Road, and More! Meet at Trillium
Lake Sno-Park, 2.5 miles East of Timberline Road off of Highway

Windells Camp
Open Skate. Visiting the mountain, bring your family and
ride Mt. Hood's only indoor skate park and see where the pros
train. Windells private skate park is open for public use; ramps,
foam pit and super trampoline for starters. Children must be
accompanied by parent or guardian for first visit and liability
waiver. Please check the website for date and time exclusions.

Tying Party at The
Fly Fishing Shop. Innovative northwest
steelhead, salmon, and angler Charles St. Pierre has created
several unique series of steelhead/salmon flies using a blend
of natural and synthetic fly tying materials that combines a
large silhouette with amazing lifelike action. Charles is much
sought after as a spey casting instructor, and a member of the
Sage pro staff. He is a regular celebrity instructor at the popular
Alaska West Lodge. Charles is also one of the most successful
fly designers for the Solitude Fly Company. 1-5 PM.
Teacup Classic Cross Country Ski Races. 26th annual 2.5 K race for kids 8 & under,
5 K and 15 K races. All levels of racers and spectators are welcome.
Arrive by 9 AM for 10:30 AM race start.

Nymph Fishing, a workshop with Rick Hafele and
Dave Hughes at the Fly Fishing Shop.
Rick covers nymph rigging and tactics to suit all of the situations
you might ever encounter in nymphing: on streams and rivers,
spring creeks and tailwaters, lakes and ponds. Learn to choose
the right rig, and fish the right method, to catch trout from
whatever water you find yourself fishing. Dave covers nymph pattern
selection, with emphasis on an essential box of searching nymphs,
another of imitative nymphs, and a third for stillwater situations.
You'll learn about the insects and other trout foods that nymphs
imitate. You'll learn to select the right nymph, or pair of them,
to suit the situation and please the trout. 10 AM - 4 PM.

Ski the Glade Trail
benefit for the Mt
Hood Cultural Center and Museum. Annually
on the first Saturday of March, by special permit from the Mt.
Hood National Forest , the Glade Trail is opened and groomed
for this living history event. This full day event is a chance
to experience a historical way of skiing on Mt. Hood . Skiers
are shuttled to Timberline Lodge by bus, escorted down the 3.0
mile trail to Government Camp by local guides and the Mt. Hood
Ski Patrol. Lunch, Apres ski party and prizes are included
in this unique fundraiser. Participation is limited. Reserve
